The Alcohol Prevention Coalition

FILLING A CRITICAL VOID IN THE FIELD

Higher education has benefitted greatly from the wealth of alcohol prevention research published across the past decade. In recent years, however, funding from both public and private sources has dwindled. The NIAAA and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation no longer commit dedicated funds to higher education alcohol prevention research, while support from The Department of Education has recently receded. The Alcohol Prevention Coalition was created to fill this gap, ensuring that the state of the art in alcohol prevention always reflects the latest  research and best practices from the field.
