AlcoholEdu for High School depends on evidence-based prevention methods and up-to-date science-based content to inspire students to reflect on and consider changing their drinking decisions - and to talk with other students about what they have learned.
The course includes an engaging, interactive format, allowing students the opportunity to work at their own pace. The course content provides students with practical information that will enable them to make better, healthier decisions when confronted with alcohol.
Surveys and knowledge tests. The course collects data on students' alcohol-related knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors at three points in time during the AlcoholEdu for High School experience. All attitude and behavior data is completely confidential.
Science-based content. AlcoholEdu for High School can easily be assigned as homework or integrated into a classroom curriculum. The course includes three, 30-minute sessions that focus on alcohol's effect on the body, investigates how alcohol affects the developing teenage brain, and discusses the factors that influence decisions about drinking.
Interactive exercises. Exercises, such as an interactive map of US alcohol-related laws, are also included throughout the course to help reinforce key content.

Concluding segment. Delivered one month after the Final Exam, providing students with a summary of the concepts they have learned.
