Why AlcoholEdu for High School?
Research shows that teens prefer to receive alcohol prevention via the Internet.* Data from a small group of pilot schools in spring 2004, showed that AlcoholEdu for High School:
Engages students: 92% of students said they paid attention to the course.
Increases alcohol-related knowledge: There was a 28% increase in knowledge gain, from an average passing grade of 67% on the Pre-Test to 86% on the Final Exam.
Undermines acceptance of underage drinking: Changes in attitude before and after the course show that students increased their belief that underage drinking is not okay by 38%.
And, United Educators, the leading risk liability insurance provider, recommends AlcoholEdu for High School as a strategy for reducing institutional risk stemming from high-risk drinking.
"I think this is one of the most worthwhile research-based programs I have worked with in nine years of prevention."
