MentalHealthEdu provides campus personnel with the tools and information they need to feel more confident reaching out to distressed students and directing them to the appropriate resources on your campus. Features of the program include:
- Narrated presentations. Course content, which was developed and reviewed by leaders in the field of college mental health, is presented in three modules, each containing a brief, narrated presentation of core concepts.
- Interactive exercises. Participants engage in reflective exercises that will help them explore how they might apply these concepts to their own experiences with students.
- Fact sheets and course summaries. Each module contains a review of key points and fact sheets on related topics, such as mental health and culture and the relationship between mental health and substance abuse.
- Resource portal. Participants have access to a customized resource portal, where they can review key course content, quickly locate campus-specific information, and learn about other national organizations dedicated to student health and wellness.
How It Works
Participants can access the program at a convenient time and work at their own pace. MentalHealthEdu can also be customized, allowing for campus-specific messaging and links to important campus resources, such as policies, procedures, and key staff contacts. The program’s online format makes it easy to reach a broad audience and track participation.
