As a brief motivational intervention (BMI) tool, Alcohol Innerview asks students to respond to a number of assessment questions related to drinking behaviors. The tool responds with immediate feedback to help students reflect on their own drinking behaviors in the context of the average, or usual, drinking patterns of other students.
Alcohol Innerview's normative feedback is based on responses from more than 50,000 college students who completed AlcoholEdu® for College in 2003-2004. The tool allows students to print or email their feedback, providing the opportunity for discussions in counseling sessions.
Alcohol Interventions
Alcohol Innerview is designed to be used as part of an intervention. It is not suitable for use in Population-Level Prevention® - prevention for whole populations of college students; population-based primary prevention can be achieved with AlcoholEdu for College. But Alcohol Innerview is the way you can help students with alcohol-related problems or infractions reduce their risk of causing or experiencing further harm.
