Allison Brummet, The Culinary Institute of America
Allison is a sophomore at The Culinary Institute of America. In her free time, she loves to go see movies, read, write, and play soccer. Allison is an avid photographer and hopes to one day own her own bakery. Allison was a runner-up in the essay division of the 2006-2007 AlcoholEdu Media Competition.

Lindsay Cole, University of California - Los Angeles
Lindsay is a senior at University of California - Los Angeles, majoring in English. After graduating high school, Lindsay worked as a background vocalist in the pop music scene. Desiring to be a well-rounded person, she returned to school in 2003. She is thrilled to be a Bruin, a goal she set for herself in junior high. In her free time, Lindsay enjoys singing, playing guitar, writing, and playing tug-of-war with her feisty Min Pin, Janie. Lindsay was a runner-up in the essay division of the 2006-2007 AlcoholEdu Media Competition.

James M. Dean, University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, Delta Upsilon
James is a sophomore at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Spanish. In the future, he plans to use these areas of study to aid in law school or a possible career in international government/policy. When he is not busy with school work, he can be found practicing and performing with his hip-hop dance team, funKtion, or working out at the gym. James also enjoys playing soccer and watching the Michigan Wolverines dominate Big Ten football. James was the winner in the essay division of the 2006-2007 AlcoholEdu Media Competition.

Owen O'Brien, University of Texas - Austin, Zeta Tau Alpha
Owen O'Brien was born in New York City and raised in Austin, Texas. Now a sophomore at the University of Texas, she is majoring in Plan II Honors - whatever that is. Academically, she is interested in health psychology and Spanish. She enjoys the outdoors, ice cream, running slowly, dogs, baking poorly, reading, random adventures, camping, writing, tennis, and tubing on the lake with her best friends. A listener and dreamer, she often finds inspiration for her Daily Texan columns in deep conversations and seemingly trivial day-to-day experiences. Owen was a runner-up in the essay division of the 2006-2007 AlcoholEdu Media Competition.
