Boston, MA - November 27, 2000 - Outside The Classroom, Inc., the leading provider of online health education courses for colleges and universities, recently gained thirty prestigious and diverse schools from across the country to beta test the release of the company's premier course, "AlcoholEdu." AlcoholEduTM is the latest answer to many of the difficulties faced by schools with respect to drinking among college students.
The thirty schools represent twenty different states, ranging from Ivy League to Big Ten, four-year public and private to two-year technical, and include one high school. They also span from coast to coast, urban to rural, and represent over a quarter of a million total students.
Volunteer students, peer educators, faculty and staff will be going online and taking AlcoholEduTM, a science-based, non-opinionated course about alcohol. AlcoholEduTM was developed by several world experts in the field of alcohol use and abuse, and over 20 individuals contributed to the content, curriculum, assessment and testing that comprise the course.
