Outside The Classroom Announces
Merger with EverFi

Outside The Classroom is pleased to announce that we have merged with EverFi, Inc., an organization that shares our deep commitment to helping young adults develop critical life skills that allow them to achieve their full potential. EverFi is considered one of the major new forces in the education space, with its flagship online financial literacy programs used in more than 3000 high schools, and in colleges and universities across the US. The merger will enable both organizations to continue the pursuitEverfi logo of using technology to help students make better decisions in a variety of areas. By combining Outside The Classroom's proven behavior change methodologies with the strength of EverFi's national network, school districts and institutions of higher education will now be able to partner with one organization to teach, assess, and certify students in critical life skills.

Nothing about this merger changes Outside The Classroom’s deep commitment to the alcohol issue and our widely recognized status as the leading organization to assist schools, organizations, and communities in reducing the negative consequences associated with high-risk drinking.  We are extremely proud of the work that we’ve been able to accomplish across the past decade, and our focus here remains unwavering. More than three million students have now taken AlcoholEdu; five studies have been published in academic journals documenting the program’s efficacy; and our high school program is now included in SAMHSA’s National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices. We look forward to continuing our great work across all of our solutions, including AlcoholEdu, GreekLifeEdu, CollegeAlc, and The Alcohol Prevention Coalition.  We remain committed to helping your institution achieve breakthrough progress on this issue.

We are also very excited about the ability for the new combined organization to help students continue to make better, smarter, safer decisions by extending our reach beyond alcohol and other drug prevention.  Institutions will now be able to partner with us to achieve student learning outcomes and behavior change in financial literacy, student loan default prevention, digital literacy, alcohol and other drug prevention, and additional areas that focus on critical aspects of student life.
