Partner Webinars
Each year, Outside The Classroom hosts a series of webinars open exclusively to our partner institutions. These webinars are designed to maximize the impact of AlcoholEdu, the data, and the insights that are generated from the data in order to support campus-specific prevention goals and strategies. Alcohol Prevention Coalition partners also have access to presentations from Coalition researchers, providing both strategic insights and tactical tools.

When major events occur on campus—Halloween, Homecoming, St Patrick’s Day, etc.—ordinary alcohol prevention strategies may not be enough to ensure student safety and prevent harm. These occasions often require dedicated planning efforts, involvement of a broader base of campus and community stakeholders, and targeted programming and policy initiatives. This webinar highlights strategies from leading campuses to address the challenges of high-risk drinking at major campus events, including:
- Case studies from campuses that have successfully reduced alcohol-related risks at annual events
- Effective policies and enforcement strategies for major events
- Strategies for enlisting support from campus and community stakeholders

Engaging Students From Day One
request a recording
Date: Friday, September 17, 2010, 1:00 - 1:30pm Eastern (open to ALL partners)
AlcoholEdu's Student Engagement tool allows partners to identify students who are interested in attending/planning alcohol-free events and provides data on the types of activities that are most popular among your incoming first-year class. In 2010, institutions also had the ability to add campus-specific events to the list of activities that students can choose from. This presentation will highlight the many opportunities that these student rosters can provide to campuses, including how this data can serve as an informal "focus group" to help support the efforts of offices and organizations responsible for planning alcohol-free activities on campus. Feel free to invite other colleagues (i.e., student activities, residence life) who could benefit from learning how this resource can support their programming efforts as well. All registrants will be provided with a list of students from your individual campus that will be tailored to meet your planning needs.

- What does a comprehensive approach to reducing alcohol-related problems on game day look like?
- What are some common challenges campuses face when addressing game-day behaviors and how can they seek to overcome them?
