Presented in partnership with NASPA, the College/Greek Award is designed to recognize institutions and Greek organizations that have excelled in their overall prevention efforts. Who is eligible to receive this award?
The award is open to all higher education institutions and greek organizations. Click here to view a list of recipients from previous years.
How do I apply for this award?
Complete the online registration form by October 1, 2010 to receive a Prevention Excellence Awards application form. register
Can my institution/organization apply for this award if we are also applying for another Prevention Excellence Award?
Yes. However, a separate application must be completed for each award.
Can I submit my application electronically?
Yes. Completed applications can be emailed to awards@outsidetheclassroom.com. Applications must be received by December 3, 2010.
How will the recipient of this award be selected?
All applicants will undergo an initial review process by a panel of experienced prevention professionals.
Finalists will be identified based on the strength of the overall submission, and will be asked to participate in a one-hour phone interview. An outline of the interview agenda will be provided to each finalist prior to the call. The agenda will include the opportunity for applicants to speak further to each element of the application.
Highest Honors will be awarded to the institution that can best demonstrate a successful, strategic, system-wide commitment to alcohol prevention.
